Sun City, a unique retreat among the world resorts, is located at the very heart of the Pilanesberg National Park, two hours drive from Johannesburg.

Sun City excites guests with its glamorous casinos, its gourmet restaurants, its extensive sports and golf facilities and its various game drive possibilities within the Pilanesberg National Park.

Within the Resort, the dining possibilities vary from casual food to fine dining options. The Palace of the Lost City has 2 fine dining venues, The Pool Deck which serves light meals and drinks or cocktails can be enjoyed at the Task Bar and Lounge. For a private function the pool deck or the restaurant can be reserved.

Home to the ”Big 5”, The Pilanesberg National Park is one of South Africa’s greatest game reserve and it’s a malaria free area. The park borders the north-eastern end of the Resort and can be explored within one or two days. Walking safari, on an elephant-back or by 4×4 are different ways of organizing your safari.

One of the two courses of the Resort is The Gary Player Golf Course. This is an 18-hole, par 72 walking course, with a 5km running trail along the course designed by Gary Player. A real challenge to amateurs and pros. The course is extremely well maintained and is considered as one of the South Africa’s finest.
