Location, location, location!
For those who are familiar with the Camps Bay restaurants, it’s located at the old Pepper Club at the Beach space (which was Summerville, once upon a time). The restaurant boasts a first-floor view of the sea from the outdoor tables. With its location, you are guaranteed that famous uninterrupted ocean views.

The inside of the restaurant has been given a five-star treatment. With its relaxed, beach ambience, Umi is the successful twinning of sophistication and ornate elegance. Elaborate mirrors of varying shapes and sizes reflect fashionable flamboyance in shades of grey and white with pretty pink cherry blossoms.

The menu
Australian chef Scott Hallsworth, who has worked at Nobu London and Nobu Melbourne, came on board for the menu development phase and the kitchen is now run by Julian Gabriel, who’s done time at The Cape Grace, Delaire Graff and abroad. What more can you ask for?

The menu is vast with options of great dishes from delicious appetisers, to something light and crunchy, signature seafood with an Asian twist, something from the grill, new-style sashimi, sushi, tempura and delectable desserts. It’s a little tricky to narrow down the options, so we recommend that you dutifully follow our recommendations. We will help you there!
